High value theft of equipment from building site in Shaftesbury

Officers asks for witnesses to come forward and help

Theft of ground works plant equipment from a building site in Shaftesbury is being investigated by officers as they appeal for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

The high-value theft happened between 9.40pm on Tuesday 7 June and 1am on Wednesday 8 June 2022 on Higher Blandford Road.

It was reported that a 120 Hamm double drum ride on roller, a Terrex Rammex compactor, a Wacker Neuson hand-held compactor, a STIHL disc cutter and a Mann wacker plate were taken.

Police Constable Katie Schofield, of Dorset Police, said:

“We are conducting a number of enquiries to find those responsible for the theft.

“I am hoping that somebody may have witnessed suspicious activity during the relevant time frame and can help with my investigation. Also, if anyone has any CCTV or dashcam footage in relation to the incident, please contact us.”
