The family of a Dorset teenager who died after going missing almost three years ago are hoping they will finally get some answers about what happened.

Inquest proceedings into the death of Gaia Pope-Sutherland from Langton Matravers near Swanage resume later.

Dorset Police has been investigated over its handling of her disappearance and a previous rape allegation she had made.

The 19-year-old, who suffered from severe epilepsy, died of hypothermia on a cliff-top near Swanage in November 2017.

Gaia's family said:

“As we approach the third anniversary of our beloved Gaia’s death, we remain without answers about what went wrong and why.

"We need answers not just for our own broken hearts but for the community that worked so tirelessly to find Gaia."
