A life-size waxwork model of David Bowie has gone on display in Bridport.

It's been made by Mike Wade from Bridport, a former Madame Tussauds sculptor for local music memorabilia shop Clocktower Too, at the Electric Palace.

The wax model sits fittingly in a spacesuit, surrounded by lots of other spacey decorations.

Clocktower Too is the new memorabilia-focussed sister branch of Clocktower music.

Roy Gregory is the owner. He told Greatest Hits Radio Dorset:

"The thing of it is, once you're actually looking and you're close to it... I mean he's got the jagged cheek, there's the little beauty spots, from the side view you can see the brow. It's an astounding piece of work.

"As soon as we put it in the window, people were standing outside taking selfies."

Clocktower Too opened earlier this year thanks to Electric Palace owner Alistair Warren giving one of the units at the front of the Electric Palace to Roy.

"We have lots of memorabilia that we've collected over time, and CDs and lots of vinyls. It was probably the first new CD shop this century.

"His music evolved in very different roots, whilst it is nostalgic, I think his music and various parts of it will continue to be recognised and understood.

"The Bowie part came back because lots of people that work here are Bowie fans. Our boards outside are an artistic version of the notes of 'We can all be heroes'.

"It's an attraction that is relatively great for us, but it's something again to get Bridport on the map, because we survive on tourism."
