Man charged with drug driving over Gillingham crash

A three year old girl was struck by a car in the incident back in April.

A 43 year old man from Gillingham has been issued with a postal requisition for the offence of driving under the influence of drugs.

It's in connection with a collision on Le Neubourg Way in the town, close to the Waitrose store, on Thursday 23rd April.

A red Seat Leon collided with a three year old pedestrian.

The collision happened close to Gillingham's Waitrose store

She needed to be airlifted to Southampton General Hospital for what's believed to have been life-changing injuries.

A man charged in relation to the crash is due to appear before Weymouth Magistrates Court on Wednesday 25th November.
