Man stabbed in hand with screwdriver in Bournemouth

It followed an altercation between two men on Westover Road

A man's been stabbed in the hand with a screwdriver during an argument in Bournemouth town centre.

The attack happened near the YMCA gym in Westover Road at around 1.00am on Monday (17th November).

The victim was taken to hospital with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.

A 44-year-old man from West Berkshire has been arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent and released on bail.

Detective Constable Michelle Lawrence, said:

“An investigation into this incident is ongoing to establish what happened. I would urge anyone who witnessed the incident to please contact Dorset Police.”
