A new statue's been placed alongside Thomas Hardy in Dorchester.

He's been joined by his sister - Mary Hardy - who was the headmistress of Piddlehinton Village School.

Being a school headmistress was a significant achievement in the 1800's.

It's not a permanent feature though.

It's been put there by Netflix to celebrate the premier of their new series Enola Holmes - the sister of Sherlock Holmes

5 statues have been put up around the country of accomplished sisters of some of England's male cultural icons.
