Police linking series of burglaries near Dorchester

Three incidents in less than a week are being investigated

Police in Dorchester say they believe a series of burglaries could be linked, as they continue investigations.

A number of power tools were taken from a building site on Frome Lane in Frome Vauchurch at some point on Easter Sunday (31st March).

Further break-ins also took place at a barn and a shepherd's hut nearby between Tuesday 26th March and Monday 1st April.

PC Jack White, of West Dorset police, said:

“We are conducting a number of enquiries into these incidents, and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area during the relevant time period, to please contact us.

“I would also like to hear from anyone who may come across any power tools being offered for sale locally in suspicious circumstances.”
