Portland's St Peter's Church burgled

Police have released pictures of some of the items taken

A church on Portland has been targeted by thieves - with items including plaques, candles and a crucifix stolen.

St. Peter's Church in Grove Road was raided at around 7.30pm on Sunday 14th April.

Officers have now shared pictures of some of the items stolen.

Police Community Support Investigator Matt Barton, of Dorset Police, said:

“We are conducting a number of enquiries into this burglary and I am appealing for anyone with information regarding this incident to please contact us.

“I am also issuing images of some of the items that were stolen and would urge anyone who comes across similar items locally or being offered for sale in suspicious circumstances to please get in touch.”
