Police in Poole are investigating a theft and assault incident in a supermarket - and released a CCTV image of a woman they'd like to speak to.

We're told a woman went into the Asda store in Culliford Crescent at around 6.45pm on Wednesday 10th August.

It's reported that she concealed items in her bag, went to the tills and paid for one item, but not everything she had.

A member of staff confronted her and she became aggressive towards him and another employee.

One of the victim suffered bruising and scratching on his chest.

PC Angelika Dworczak, of Dorset Police, said:

“As part of my enquiries I have obtained a CCTV image of a woman I would like to identify and I would urge anyone who recognises her to please come forward.”
