Sponsored paddleboard on Weymouth beach in aid of MV Freedom
It's taking place on Saturday July 31st
A Weymouth charity is holding a fundraising event on Saturday July 31.
It is the first time the Friends of MV Freedom have been able to stage anything since Covid restrictions were fully eased on July 19.
The sponsored paddleboarding which takes place on the beach starting from the Pavillion at 6pm includes a race for complete beginners and the more experienced.
The MV Freedom boat gives disabled people the chance to access the sea and will be used as a marker for paddleboarders to reach.
The Friends of MV Freedom have organised the fundraiser with Dorset Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) Club
Registration is at 5pm followed by the event at 6pm from the Pavillion on Saturday July 31.
