Stolen Bournemouth puppy found 150 miles away in Essex

One of nine puppies stolen during a burglary in Bournemouth has been found Essex.

The five-week-old American bulldog puppies were taken on 24 May.

One of them was located by Essex Police and has been returned to its owner and mum while officers search for the others.

PC Adam Manly posted on twitter: "A good day for me & PC Partridge after locating and returning 5 week old puppy to its owner (and mummy) after being stolen during a burglary in Bournemouth! 8 more to go."

An investigation was launched when the puppies were taken from a home in Charminster Road in Bournemouth.

Dorset Police said the victim heard male voices, but by the time they got downstairs the thieves had fled.
