Supermarket worker assaulted breaking up Verwood fight

CCTV images have been released of a male that police want to trace

A supermarket worker has been attacked while trying to break up an argument at Morrisons in Verwood.

The man was injured when he stopped a row between a group of people and another customer, at around 8.50pm on Wednesday 4th October.

Police say the group ran off with stolen items and damaged windows as they left.

CCTV images have now been released of a male that Dorset Police want to trace in connection with what happened.

Police Community Support Investigator Kate Hann said:

“The behaviour demonstrated during this incident is completely unacceptable and we are doing all we can to support the victim and identify those involved.

“I have obtained CCTV images of the suspect of the alleged assault and I would urge anyone who knows him or witnessed the incident to please come forward.”
