A turtle's died on a Dorset beach, after being washed up during stormy weather, and suffering cold shock.

The young loggerhead was found at Kimmeridge Bay on Tuesday (9th April) by a member of the public.

Dorset's Wildlife Trust say the turtle had been pushed off its normal migration course by rough seas.

It was taken for a check-up, as turtles aren't able to regulate their temperature in cooler waters - but sadly, it didn't survive.

We're asked to always report turtle sightings in the UK, and never try and put them back into the water.
