Two people released following assault on Portland

Two people arrested in connection with a reported assault on Portland have been released without charge.

It was reported that at around 6.10pm on Saturday 6 March 2021 an altercation occurred involving two men and two women on Verne Common Road.

A 32-year-old woman and a 44-year-old man, both from the local area, were arrested on suspicion of assault and were released on police bail.

Following further enquiries, both have now been released from bail without charge and will face no further police action.

Officers are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.
