Weldmar Hospicecare's Summer Fete postponed

The charity have taken the decision as a mark of respect following the death of Queen Elizabeth II

Following the death of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, Weldmar's Summer Fete, has been postponed to a later date with a further announcement in due course.

The charity have also confirmed the Jurassic Coast Challenge on Saturday 17th September will also be rearranged.

In a statement they said:

"The trustees, directors, and staff of Weldmar Hospicecare are deeply saddened to hear that Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, has passed away.

"Our thoughts and sympathies go to the Royal Family, including our Patron, now King Charles III, at this difficult time.

"As a mark of respect our Summer Fete, due to take place on Saturday 10th September, will be postponed to a later date, to be announced in due course. Our Jurassic Coast Challenge on Saturday 17th September will also be rearranged.

"Our charity shops will be closed on Friday 9th September. Please join us and take a moment to remember our Queen, and 70 years of dedication to her crown and country."
