Weymouth's abandoned match with Yeovil earlier this month WON'T be replayed - with Weymouth being awarded the win.

The Terras were 1-0 up when the National League South game was called off on Easter Monday (1st April).

The stoppage in the 71st minute was due to a medical emergency in the ground, involving an away fan.

The National League's released a statement, following an investigation:

"We can confirm a decision has been reached following the abandonment of the match between Weymouth and Yeovil Town.

"Following an investigation by the Football Association the League has now determined the outcome of the abandonment from the National League South fixture on April 1st.

"It has been decided that the game is not to be replayed, and the match has been awarded to Weymouth in accordance with League rules.

"Weymouth were 1-0 in front when a medical emergency affecting a supporter occurred during the second half of the match at the Bob Lucas Stadium earlier this month."

"Tables will be updated accordingly. Regulations state that while the home club are awarded three points, goals for and against are not to be added."

The Board of Directors have responded to the outcome, thanking supporters for their patience.

Weymouth play Welling United away from home tomorrow (Saturday 13th April) and are sitting in 16th place in the National League South table, with four games left to play this season.
