Weymouth Football Club say they are reducing the number of supporters who can enter the stadium.

It's after a minority of fans failed to socially distance and brought alcohol into the grounds during a test event.

Supporters are being warned if it happens again all fans could be stopped from attending matches at the Bob Lucas while Covid restrictions are in place.

TV Presenter Jeff Brazier was at the game.

Here's what he had to say on Twitter.

In a statement on their website, Weymouth Football Club said:

"While we would like to thank the majority of fans who followed the Covid-19 safe practices, a minority let the club down badly.

"Despite regular requests from Covid Volunteers, Stewards and the P.A announcements, some supporters failed to adequately Social Distance in some areas of the ground.

"Some supporters brought alcohol into the ground while others ignored the smoking ban.

"Fans should be in no doubt that should that event not go as desired, there is every likelihood that the Stadium Safety Advisory Group will refuse permission for fans to attend matches until such times as Covid restrictions are removed completely."
