'Book ahead to avoid dissappointment' - that's the advice from restaurant owners this weekend.

Al Molo in Weymouth say they have 130 people booked in for a meal in just 4 hours on Saturday.

Last year, some hotels and restaurants in the area lost out as holidaymakers ditched their staycations for holidays abroad once they were allowed.

But, Tim Newton, co-owner of Al Molo says he's confident that won't happen this year.

Instead, he thinks restaurants are going to see a boom.

He said:

"If you know the dates that you're going away, or you know the dates you've got a special occasion - book the restaurant now.

"When the summer comes or the time comes you think about booking, you'll miss out."

He added:

"This year I think people are more cautious about booking holidays abroad, whether you can or you can't.

"If people have booked to come away somewhere like this, they're not going to cancel it to book to go away when restrictions might change all of a sudden, and then you lose your money.

"I think this year definitely is going to be a boom time for everyone in the town."
