Woman arrested following syringe threat at Weymouth supermarket

A woman's been arrested in connection with a shoplifting and threatening incident outside a Weymouth supermarket.

It's alleged a female made off from Asda in Newstead Road with suspected stolen items on October 31st last year.

The woman's believed to have threatened a staff member, who chased and challenged her, with a syringe needle.

That happened in the car park for Weymouth Jobcentre.

A 40 year old woman from Dorchester has now been arrested on suspicion of affray.

She's been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
