Woman assaulted by man on Bournemouth beach

A woman's been assaulted on Bournemouth beach, with police asking any witnesses to contact them.

The victim, in her 30s, was attacked by a man near to the East Cliff zig zag path, between 11.45am and 12.15pm on Sunday (29th October).

It's believed the man is known to the victim.

She luckily didn't sustain any serious injuries.

Dorset Police say they're investigating, and looking for a Good Samaritan who came to the woman's aid afterwards.

Detective Constable Kate Brew, of Bournemouth CID, said:

“An investigation is underway and I would ask any witnesses to please come forward.

“In particular, I am aware a member of the public came to assist the victim and I am appealing for them to please get in touch so we can take their account of what happened.”
