A woman from Bournemouth has been left shocked and shaken after waking up to find an intruder in her house.

It happened at around 2.20am on Wednesday 13th March on Christchurch Road - with police just releasing the details.

She woke up and found the man in the kitchen - she challenged him and he left immediately.

It's not thought anything was taken from inside, or from a shed in the garden - although the lock was found broken.

Police have now released an image of a man they want to speak to.

PC Kieran Neville, of Bournemouth police, said:

“This must have been a very distressing incident for the victim to wake and find an intruder in her property and we are carrying out detailed enquiries to identify the man involved.

“I am now in a position to release an image of a man we would like to identify and would urge anyone with information relating to his identify to please contact us.”
