Woman hit by truck in Christchurch collision

She suffered serious injuries on Monday afternoon (19th February)

A woman's been seriously injured after being hit by a truck in Christchurch.

It happened at around 12.40pm on Monday (19th February) on Christchurch Road, at the junction of Hurn Court Lane.

The pedestrian, who's local and in her 40s, suffered serious injuries, but they're not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.

The male driver of the vehicle wasn't hurt.

Police are now investigating what happened.

PC Steve Eastwood, of the traffic unit, said:

“We are continuing to investigate this collision to establish the full circumstances and I would urge any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please make contact with us.

“I would also like to hear from anyone who was driving in the area and may have captured relevant dashcam footage.”
