Woman injures leg after being struck by car in Ferndown

The driver didn't stop at the scene of the collision

A woman's suffered injuries to her leg after being struck by a car in Ferndown.

The collision happened at the crossing for the Turbary roundabout on the A347 Ringwood Road, at around 10.20am yesterday (Thursday 14th December).

A pedestrian, in her 60s, and a white Kia Rio car were involved.

The driver initially stopped but the left the scene without giving any details.

A local woman in her 70s has since been asked to attend a voluntary police interview.

PC Mia Jakeman, of Dorset Police, said:

“We are continuing to make enquiries into this incident and I am keen for anyone with information who has not already contacted police to please come forward.

“I would urge anyone who was driving in the area with dashcam fitted to their vehicle to please review their footage for anything that might assist our enquiries.”
