Woman seen being dragged into an alleyway in Weymouth

Police are urging her to come forward

Police are investigating a report of a woman being dragged into an alleyway in Weymouth.

Dorset Police received a report from a member of the public who witnessed an assault between 3.50pm and 4pm on Saturday (6 April) on Franklin Road.

It was reported that a woman was dragged into an alleyway at the rear of Abbotsbury Road.

Police Constable Jamie Ralphs, of Weymouth police, said: “At this time, we have not been able to identify those involved and I would ask the woman to please come forward so we can find out what happened.

“I am also appealing to anyone who was in the area and witnessed what took place to please get in touch.

“Finally, if you have any CCTV or dashcam footage from the area around the relevant timeframe, please contact Dorset Police.”
