Police investigation launched after woman stabbed on Weymouth Beach
A woman's been arrested in connection with the incident that happened opposite the Sea Life Centre
Police have launched an investigation after a woman was stabbed on Weymouth Beach.
The incident was reported to officers at 1.40pm today, and happened on the beach opposite the Sea Life Centre.
Dorset Police attended along with the ambulance service.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said:
"The victim sustained an injury to her leg and was taken to hospital for treatment. Her injuries are not life-threatening.
"A full investigation is underway, led by detectives from Weymouth CID. A woman has been arrested in connection with the incident."
