Man to appear in court after attempted robbery in Eastriggs

A 50-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with an attempted robbery at a Chinese restaurant in Eastriggs.

The incident happened on Annan Road at around 9.20pm on Wednesday, 29 March.

The man will appear at Dumfries Sherriff Court tomorrow.

Detective Inspector Graeme Robertson said: "I would like to reassure the local community that officers are not looking for anyone else in relation to this matter."
