Tens of thousands of Scotland fans are going to Hampden tonight to watch their side take on England in a special game marking 150 years since the two teams first played each other.

Scotland come into this match in good form and are undefeated in eleven qualifiers - the longest run in Europe.

Steve Clarke’s side have also won five consecutive matches in all competitions, while netting two goals in each game – for the first time since November 1949.

Their first meeting at the West of Scotland Cricket Club in November 1872 ended in a goalless draw.

Both captains visited the site of Scotland and England's first match against each other.

The two sides have met 115 times over the years; Scotland have won 41, England have won 48 and 26 have ended honours-even.
