Two men arrested after cannabis seized from property in Eaglesfield

Dumfries and Galloway Detectives recovered approximately £180,000 worth of cannabis from a property in Eaglesfield.

On Wednesday, 7 February, officers attended the property just after 5.30pm to execute a warrant and found a cultivation.

Two men, 29 and 18 years old, were arrested and charged in connection with the recovery.

Both are expected to go to Dumfries Sheriff Court on Friday, 9 February.

Detective Inspector Graeme Robertson, of Dumfries & Galloway Division CID said: “This represents a significant recovery and is a good example of our efforts to disrupt the drugs trade in our local communities.

“Seizures such as this show our commitment nationally to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious and Organised Crime Strategy.
