A woman's in the QMC after a serious assault in Nottingham
Police found the victim injured at a property in Basford early this morning
A 39 year old man's been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
It's after police found a woman with serious injuries in Park Lane in Basford at 3.45am this morning (Tuesday 9 April).
She is currently at the Queen’s Medical Centre receiving treatment.
A scene is in place at the property while investigation work is carried out.
Detective Sergeant Laura McCullough, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“Our investigation is at an early stage but we do believe it to be an isolated incident with no wider risk posed to the public.
"We understand an incident like this can cause concern to the community, but I want to personally reassure the public that we do have a suspect in custody and we are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.”
