Motorcylclist dies in single-vehicle collision in Nottingham

Police say the man's family are receiving support

A motorcyclist has died after a single-vehicle collision on the A52 Clifton Boulevard in Nottingham.

The rider, a man aged in his 20s, was treated at the scene following the incident which happened shortly before 10am on Easter Sunday.

He was taken to hospital where he died later that morning.

The man’s family are being supported by specially-trained officers.

The road was closed following the incident and reopened at around 4.30pm on Sunday.

Investigator Jo Rigby, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "This was a tragic incident that led to a young man's death. Our thoughts remain with his family, friends, and all who knew him."
