Human remains found in Hull are likely to have been there for over 7 years
An investigation was launched following their discovery earlier this month

British Transport Police say they believe human skeletal remains found in Hull are likely to have been there for more than 7 years.
They were called to an isolated area of the railway embankment close to Brackley Park on December 7th.
Officers believe they're the remains of one person.
Detectives are waiting on the outcome of a post mortem to identify them and are trying to establish the exact circumstances behind their death.
British Transport police were brought in because of how close the discovery is to railway lines.
They've also released this statement:
“At this stage we are unable to confirm how long the bones have been there, however it is estimated to be in excess of seven years.
“A cordon will remain in place while we continue searching the area, and we would like to thank residents for their patience while we carry out our final assessments of the site.
“I understand that there has been some local concern around this incident and I would like to reassure the community that we don’t believe there is any wider risk to the public.”
