Last night (26th January) we saw singers and music legends from around the world gather in downtown Los Angeles for the annual GRAMMYs, taking place in the Staples Center. The 62nd GRAMMYs was hosted by Alicia Keys, starting with a tribute to basketball legend Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna, who were killed just hours before the ceremony in a helicopter crash.

Although tinged with sadness, the event also saw some spectacular performances from host Alicia Keys, GRAMMY Award winner Lil Nas X and American singer Usher honoured Prince with some performances of the late musician's songs, ahead of the GRAMMYs Special - Let's Go Crazy: The GRAMMY Salute to Prince, which will take place tomorrow night (28th January).

Usher started his performance with an amazing rendition of 'Little Red Corvette', joined on stage by master drummer and Prince’s former protege, Sheila E. Continuing with two other iconic hits from Prince, 'When Doves Cry' and 'Kiss,' Usher wowed the audience with his dance skills, also joined by singer and dancer FKA Twigs.

During the night, fans were also treated to a fantastic performance from Aerosmith who were given the MusiCares Person Of The Year award. The band performed 'Living On The Edge', before bringing out Run-DMC to perform their 1986 collaboration, 'Walk This Way'.

The 'I Don't Want to Miss a Thing' band later took to Twitter to thank everyone for their award saying, 'The @MusiCares 2020 Person of the Year Award show! #Aerosmith and friends rocked the LA Convention Center last night! Thank you for all the love and support!'

The GRAMMYs saw 18-year-old singer Billie Eillish win five awards including, Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Best New Artist, Song of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album. She also made history by becoming the youngest artist to make a clean sweep of the four big categories.
