After taking a year off from all showbiz duties to focus on his recovery, Geordie TV presenter Ant McPartlin returned to work today (Friday 18th January), joining his best friend and co-host Dec Donnelly for the first set of Britain's Got Talent 2019 auditions.

To celebrate the pair being back together, the boys shared a selfie on their shared social media account, writing, '#BGT 2019. Audition day 1. The boys are back in town.' sic

Excited fans were quick to comment on the photo, with many complimenting Ant on how 'well' he looks.

One fan wrote, 'Welcome back Ant great to see you two back together xxx', with another writing, 'Amazing! Looking good ant 😉♥️'. Another then added, 'Aww you are looking so well and relaxed lovely to see you looking happy again ant and glad to see you boys back together as you should be this is pure happiness ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️'. sic

After getting arrested and later being charged with drink driving following an incident in 2018, Ant made the decision to take time off from showbiz, missing the live Britain's Got Talent shows and the 2018 series of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

Despite This Morning host Holly Willoughby stepping in and doing an amazing job, both Ant and Dec have been nominated in the Best Presenter category at this year's National Television Awards.

The pair have been crowned the winners of the Best Presenter award since the show first started way back in 2001, and this year they are up against Bradley Walsh, Holly Willoughby, Phillip Schofield and Graham Norton.
