Universal have released the launched trailer for the upcoming Aretha Franklin biopic - RESPECT

Universal pictures have released the first trailer for their new biopic RESPECT telling the life story of Aretha Franklin and starring Jennifer Hudson in the title role.
The Oscar-winning actor and singer was apparently hand picked by Aretha herself two years ago. The film, which is directed by Liesl Tommy, also features Forest Whitaker, Audra McDonald and Mary J Blige, with Marlon Wayans playing the role of husband and manager Ted White.
The film follows the rise of Aretha Franklin’s career from a child singing in her father’s church’s choir to her international superstardom, RESPECT is the remarkable true story of the music icon’s journey to find her voice.
When will RESPECT be released?
RESPECT is due to be released worldwide release; the 22nd January 2021.
