'Bohemian Rhapsody' is one of Queen's most iconic songs, and it has received more than 1 billion views on YouTube, with millions of fans singing along to Freddie Mercury's distinctive voice. Now YouTube, Google Creative Lab, and Google Research have teamed up with Universal Music Group to create the FreddieMeter!

The FreddieMeter is an AI experiment to find out how closely you can sing to Freddie Mercury’s one-of-a-kind vocals. It will analyse the singer’s pitch, timbre, and melody to assign them a score of 0 to 100. So, whether you're a massive Queen fan, or love a bit of karaoke, find out how closely you match Freddie!

By visiting the website, you can choose from four classic Queen songs, 'Bohemian Rhapsody', 'Don’t Stop Me Now', 'Somebody to Love' or 'We Are the Champions', then download the custom scorecard, and challenge your friends using the hashtag #FreddieChallenge.

The FreddieMeter has been created to support the Mercury Phoenix Trust, a charity founded by Brian May, Roger Taylor and Jim Beach to raise awareness and funds for the fight against HIV/AIDS.

The song ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ has been incredibly successful, and in October 2018 a film of the same name was released. The film was a biopic of Freddie Mercury and did extremely well in the award season, picking up several awards.

The film won Academy Awards for Best Actor (Rami Malek), Best Sound Editing, Best Sound Mixing, Best Film Editing, two BAFTA Awards and several other notable awards.
