We challenged stars from Britain’s 70s, 80s and 90s entertainment scene to transform into their musical idols for Greatest Hits Radio's Icons Reimagined.

Sinitta, Coleen Nolan, Sonia, Carol Decker and our very own Greatest Hits Radio presenter Jenny Powell took part, paying tribute to some of the biggest names in music to find the nation’s favourite track from those three decades.

From pop superstars Madonna and Cyndi Lauper to music heavyweights David Bowie and Sir Elton John, we’re asking YOU to decide your favourite hit as we count down the most iconic songs from the 70s, 80s and 90s in our Top 500 countdown, starting on Bank Holiday Monday with the winner announced on Friday 4th June.

5 stars transform into the biggest icons of the 70s, 80s and 90s:

Carol Decker as Cyndi Lauper

T'Pau's Carol Decker became Cyndi Lauper from the time of the star's multi-award-winning chart topper 'Girls Just Want To Have Fun'.

Jenny Powell as Cher

Meanwhile TV presenter Jenny Powell stepped up to be transformed into Cher. She looks striking with a look inspired by Cher's 1989 hit 'Turn Back Time'.

Jenny said: "By reinventing ourselves as music's biggest stars of the 70s, 80s and 90s, we want to inspire the public to join us in voting for their favourite iconic track from that era. Transforming into Cher has made me feel liberated and free-spirited, she's such a strong and empowering woman. Every single song of hers is a classic and her 'don't care' attitude has always been an inspiration to me."

Coleen Nolan as Dolly Parton

Going solo from her Nolan Sisters roots, singer and TV personality Coleen Nolan transformed into Country music legend Dolly Parton.

Coleen is unmistakable as the '9 to 5' singer, complete with bouncy blonde hair and extra glitz on her outfit to perfect the character of Dolly.

Sinitta as Grace Jones

'So Macho' singer and TV personality Sinitta transformed into Grace Jones, dazzling in a fierce hooded look synonymous with the icon in the 1980s.

Sinitta as Grace Jones

Sinitta worked with her idol Grace Jones in the 80s. She said: "Grace Jones' music means everything to me because she was the edgy, cool heartbeat of the 80's. She was just completely brave, original and wild. I hope people see this imagery and remember Grace's music and vote for her."

She also effortlessly performed an arabesque pose, which is easily recognisable as a symbol of Grace Jones' brilliant music.

Sonia as Madonna

Pop phenomenon Sonia, who is most famous for her Number 1 hit 'You'll Never Stop Me Loving You' released in 1990, daringly took on one of Madonna's most iconic looks.

Sonia as Madonna

Sonia became the Queen of Pop, dressed in a replica of THAT Jean Paul Gaultier cone bra which the 'Vogue' singer wore on her Blond Ambition tour in 1990.

Madonna didn't keep the now-iconic cone bra exclusive to the stage, she also wore it in a number of future music videos including 'Express Yourself'.
