Come Dine with Me is a Channel 4 institution that’s run for a mind-boggling 41 series and earned spin-offs in dozens of countries.
Nowadays, while we may not have hour-long new episodes to binge on each and every weeknight, we ARE still treated to a Christmas special series, and as the line-up for this year’s is confirmed, we’ve come over all nostalgic.
Airing nightly from Monday 16th to Friday 20th of December, the celebrity names that have officially been confirmed include Strictly Come Dancing’s Debbie McGee, former children’s TV legends Dick n’ Dom and reality TV favourite Charlotte Dawson.
Also featuring are RuPaul’s Drag Race star Courtney Act and social media star Stevo The Madman.
The show’s executive producer Simone Haywood said, “Come Dine with Me has always been hugely popular with younger audiences and we’re excited to give it a fresh new twist with our Celebrity Specials.”
Charlotte “Dawsy” Dawson will be back on our screens after she made her presenting debut on MTV’s Love Squad earlier this year.
Speaking to Closer magazine in October, the body positive star star said, “I was called fat even when I was at my skinniest. I also cared so much back then about what I put on my social media and people would be shocked when they met me, because in real life I'm mad and burping and just being me.
“So I thought, 'I'm not pretending to be someone I'm not any more' and started making fun of my insecurities on my social media – including my chunky but funky belly!"
