Start date revealed for new series of Celebrity Gogglebox

The celebs are back watching TV!

With the original series of Gogglebox being one of the most popular shows on the box, we were over the moon when spin-off show Celebrity Gogglebox graced our screens, and now series six is just around the corner!

When is Celebrity Gogglebox on TV?

Following the Stand Up To Cancer special in November last year, Celebrity Gogglebox will return to our screens on Friday 7th June 2024.

What time is Celebrity Gogglebox on?

The show usually airs at 9pm, however the opening episode will be on at the slightly later time of 10.10pm due to Channel 4's coverage of the football.

Which celebs are taking part in Celebrity Gogglebox?

Rumours are rife that Spice Girl Mel B and her daughter Phoenix Chi will feature on the new series, as well as Bobby and Jeff Brazier, who took part in the charity special.

Other names set to appear include Rylan Clark, Fearne Cotton, Gyles Brandreth, Gok Wan and Clare Balding, but bosses are keeping tight-lipped about the line-up so far.

Which celebs appeared on the last series?

A whole host of new faces signed up for series five of Celebrity Gogglebox, including singer Tom Grennan, who was joined by his dad.

Tom told metro.co.uk: "So excited for Gogglebox, especially filming with my dad. I’ve said to him be ready to become a national treasure."

TV presenter Davina McCall also appeared on the last series, alongside her boyfriend Michael Douglas, who is a popular celebrity hairdresser.

Fresh from presenting the British Soap Awards at the start of June 2023, Jane McDonald appeared on series five alongside her best friend Sue. She wrote on Instagram: 'I'm going to be appearing on Celebrity Gogglebox with my best friend Sue - it's going to be an absolute blast! We’ve shared some unforgettable moments over the years but I am really looking forward to spending time together on this wonderful show. @c4gogglebox'. (sic)

Liv and Nick Grimshaw, Bez and Shaun Ryder, Olly Levy and Paul Sinha, Clare Balding and Alice Arnold, Martin and Roman Kemp, Tubsey, Big Zuu and Hyder, and Rob Beckett and Tom Allen will also returned for series five.

As well as Gyles Brandreth and Dame Joanna Lumley, Miquita and Andi Oliver, Denise van Outen and Duncan James, Paul and Mel C, Fearne Cotton and Gok Wan, Lucy Beaumont and Jon Richardson.

What is Celebrity Gogglebox?

Celebrity Gogglebox was first created as a charity special for Stand Up To Cancer, but after the show's success, Channel 4 decided to turn the concept into a real series, with the first series hitting our screens in 2019.

There's since been five series to date, with series six landing in June.

Has Celebrity Gogglebox won any awards?

Not yet, but it was nominated at the BAFTA TV Awards for Reality and constructed factual, losing out to Race Across the World.
