Viewers of The Chase were left absolutely stunned as two contestants made history in yesterday's episode (30th Jan). The quiz show, which sees plucky people go up against some of the brainiest people in the country to win a cash prize, has a cult following thanks to host Bradley Walsh and the personas of the 'Chasers'.

Bradley, who has also been starring as Doctor Who companion Graham O'Brien over the past year, was gobsmacked as contestants Michael and Ross both answered 10 questions correctly on the Cash Builder round, winning £10,000 each for the team.

Once the pair had won the rounds one after the other, host Bradley was left completely dumbfounded, tripping over his words as he said, "I don't remember that happening - ever! First two out of the traps, 10 each."

After Michael, Ross and their teammate Joel were able to all stay in the final round and beat Paul Sinha AKA The Sinnerman, winning a whopping £25,000 between them.

Even Paul was impressed by the pair, saying, "I can't speak for any of the other Chasers but that's definitely the first time two players have got two or more."

Viewers of the show were also loving the drama of the episode, and took to Twitter to share their shock at the events that unfolded. One wrote, 'Brilliant team well done for winning, one of the best teams ever!' as another added, 'Best show I've seen in a while', and one other commented, 'This was so exciting to watch. Well done, you deserved to win!'

Team member Ross was overwhelmed by the support, and added on Twitter, 'Thanks for having me @ITVChase Was an amazing experience and have loved seeing the great feedback about the episode! #thechase.' sic
