Coronation Street has confirmed that there will be a change to its schedule this month as the Britain's Got Talent live semi-finals make a return. Usually, Coronation Street airs at 8pm on ITV on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, whilst Emmerdale is shown at 7:30pm each weekday evening.

However, Coronation Street will have a new schedule during the last week of May as the live semi-finals of Britain's Got Talent air each evening. During the week commencing Monday 29th May, Coronation Street will shown at 7:30pm each day for half an hour, before the Britain's Got Talent semi-finals are broadcast at 8pm.

Emmerdale will also be impacted by the schedule change during that week and will be shown for half an hour each evening, with episodes starting at 7pm each day.

Although we are yet to know exactly what will happen in the soaps during the week of episodes, huge storylines are to be expected. In Coronation Street, fans can expect to see the wedding of Gemma Winter and Chesney Brown.

There will also be emotional scenes as Justin Rutherford is set to be sentenced following Daisy Midgeley's stalking ordeal and Ryan Connor's devastating acid attack.

Coronation Street airs on ITV1/STV and streams on ITVX and STV Player.
