Because of the football!

Following the permanent schedule changes for BBC soap EastEnders last year, the popular series has been airing every night Monday-Thursday, but that's all change this week, with the episode on Tuesday 16th January being taken off air.

When is EastEnders on this week?

The episode due to air on Tuesday 16th January has been postponed as BBC One have the rights to show The FA Cup third round replay match between Bristol City and West Ham United.

Coverage of the football match, which is taking place at Bristol City's Ashton Gate Stadium, will start at 7.30pm, running until 10pm, meaning there's no room in the schedule for EastEnders.

Don't panic though! As this week will see EastEnders airing on Friday night (19th January) to make up for the postponement.

As well as EastEnders, Waterloo Road and Silent Witness will also be rescheduled.
