Colchester Utd yet to have first game of 2021
The U's haven't had the best of luck in kicking off the start of the new year
Colchester United are yet to have their first game of 2021 following the postponement of their match against Salford City.
The game was meant to take place this afternoon, 9th January, but was put on hold after an inspection yesterday morning found the pitch was frozen.
As temperatures overnight were expected to be -5C or below, the decision was made to call it off.
Details of a rearranged fixture will be discussed between the two clubs and announced in "due course".
The disappointing news for Colchester comes a week after their late call-off against Tranmere.
