Rik Moran, chairman of the Essex West Ham Supporters Club, is filled with anticipation as he expects West Ham United to emerge victorious in tonight's European Cup final.

Fans from all over the country have been making the journey to Prague to support their team.

West Ham face Italian side Fiorentina in the Europa Conference League final in Prague - bidding to win a first major trophy since the FA Cup in 1980.

Reflecting on the upcoming match, Rik said the occasion is hugely significant:

"A European Cup final is something I've never seen in my lifetime," ...

...he admits. The chairman, a devoted West Ham fan for over four decades, also speaks highly of the passion exhibited by the club's supporters. "The West Ham fanbase has always been extremely passionate," he says

As for the camaraderie within the Essex West Ham Supporters Club, Moran emphasizes the sense of togetherness that accompanies watching games as a group. "Whether it's watching with friends at a pub or traveling together to the London Stadium or away games, it brings us closer," he explains. Moran highlights the strong bonds that form among fans, whether they are lifelong companions or individuals who meet at the games.

Adn ahead of (hopefully) post-match celebrations, Rik can see a joyous occasion.

"When we win tonight, it's going to be all about celebrations,"

The chairman believes that this victory is long overdue for West Ham and hopes to savor the moment to the fullest.
