UPDATE: The 79, who had been missing from Witham, has now been found.
Police have thanked everyone for their help and support.
EARLIER: A 79 year-old man is missing from Witham.
He was last seen at around 4pm today (11 June).
Essex Police and his family are said to be concerned for his welfare and want to make sure he is okay.
He is described as being around 5ft 7in tall and is believed to be wearing a blue hoodie with blue shorts.
