Second man arrested in connection with Stanstead Airport hate crime is released on bail

An investigation has launched after a video emerged on social media

A second man who was arrested yesterday (Saturday 6 November) in connection with a hate crime has been released on police bail.

The 26-year-old was arrested on suspicion of Section 4A Public Order (racially or religiously aggravated) after he stepped off a flight from the Netherlands.

Essex Police Officers arrested a man on suspicion of a hate crime at Stansted Airport just before 4pm on Friday 5 November.

Officers arrested the 55-year-old man as he stepped off a flight from Belgium.

It's after the force was made aware of a video on social media of a man being subjected to harassment whilst taking his seat onboard an aeroplane before it departed on 4th November.
