Two men arrested after fatal M25 crash

A motorcyclist died at the scene on Sunday evening

Essex Police have arrested two men after a fatal crash on the M25 in Essex on Sunday (April 14th).

Officers were called to the crash involving a motorcycle and a car at the Mardyke Junction, at Junction 30, around 11:40pm.

The motorcycle rider died at the scene.

Part of the roundabout was closed for several hours and reopened at 10:30am yesterday morning (April 15th).

Two 18-year-old men, from Essex, remain in custody, arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving at the scene.

Essex Police say before the crash, the car was involved in a pursuit with Kent Police. The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) is investigation circumstances around the pursuit.

It follows a mandatory referral by Kent Police to the IOPC.

Anyone with information or relevant dash cam footage is asked to contact officers.
