Man and woman released on bail after 'unexpected' death of a baby in Colchester

A man and a woman arrested in connection with the unexpected death of a baby in Colchester have been released on bail.

Essex Police say their officers were called to Buffett Way around 10:25pm on Sunday (May 12th) by paramedics who had concerns about the welfare of a baby.

The baby sadly died in the early hours of yesterday morning (May 13th), despite the efforts of paramedics and doctors in hospital.

Two people - a man and a woman - were arrested in connection with the incident, and have since been released on bail until June.
