Police are adding extra officers to the Bearsden area, after a 70 year old woman was sexually assaulted yesterday evening.

The incident happened at Colquhoun Park, near Station Road at around 5.15pm on Friday March 22.

The woman was walking near the park when she was knocked to the ground by a white man in his 20s.

He is described as being around 5ft 8 or 9inches tall, and of stocky build, wearing dark coloured clothing and black trainers.

Police say he had a “dishevelled” appearance with receding brown hair and an unkempt beard, as well as a local accent.
