A heavy police presence has been spotted on Glasgow Road in Paisley as an incident continues to unfold.
Footage sent to Greatest Hits Radio shows a man running after police officers with what appears to be a chainsaw.
A further video shows officers appearing to restrain and arrest someone.
Police Scotland has written on social media to advise that the road is now closed while officers deal with a "disturbance".
One car appears to have forced a police car off the road and into a wall.
