Brendan Rodgers says he won't watch Rangers' clash with Dundee

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers will watch the Premier League title race unfold rather than the Rangers game which could see his team clinch the cinch Premiership crown.

Celtic are preparing to face Kilmarnock at Rugby Park on Wednesday knowing a point would see them retain the title, but anything less than a Rangers win over Dundee 24 hours earlier would speed up that process.

When asked if he will have a close eye on events at Ibrox, Rodgers said: "Not really, no. I'll watch Tottenham-Man City.

"Our only focus is on ourselves and preparing for the game. Outwith that, we can't control anything else."

Rodgers would be happy enough to win the title while he watches his predecessor Ange Postecoglou's side face City rather than waiting to clinch it in person.

"For me, it doesn't really matter," he said. "Obviously some people would prefer to win it there and then you have the celebration.

"For me, it's just about collating the points over the season and then when it's mathematically rubber-stamped then you take that."
